Young and sweet, only Seventeen...

Miss Aubrey is seventeen months old today!

*That is chocolate on Aubrey's face from her (Pop Pop's) cookie. Apparently it goes really well with tea.

In honor of her (and so I don't forget as time continues to fly by...), here are 17 things about our little lady:

1. She is extremely bossy and sweet.
2. She doesn't say "No!" yet, but shakes her head "No!" all the time. As fond as she is of telling us "No!", she isn't a big fan when we tell her "No". Tantrums have entered our world.
3. She loves feeding her babies, animals, and people.
4. She is already fostering an obsession with shoes.
5. She is very attached to her paci and lovey for naps and bedtime (or when she's cutting 4 MORE teeth at once!). Naps are getting unpredictable these days. Some days one, some days two, some days none. Bedtime is still 7-7:30 p.m. to 7-7:30 a.m., which I love. (Please Lord, don't take this away because I put it down in writing...)
6. She is all about Momma right now (Yes, I'm loving it. I know when she turns 17 years old, things will be much different!).
7. She is a dancing queen (tap dances, does a ballerina twirl, and bobs her head and whole body from side to side) and ends all her performances with either a "Ta Da!" or "Yea!".
8. She still drinks milk in a bottle. This is horrible, and I am afraid we'll be offering up a toast on her wedding day with Dr. Brown's Natural Flows bottles. I hope they make them in crystal by then.
9. She climbs on everything.
10. She walks up to Daniel and me and says "Poop!" and points to her diaper when she has, well...pooped! Potty training may come sooner than we originally planned...
11. She still adores any and all dogs.
12. She is turning into a picky eater. This both saddens me and stresses me out.
13. She has an insane vocabulary. Two months ago her Pediatrician asked me about how many words she can say. I estimated 50 and the doctor practically fell out of her chair. I second guessed myself after her response, so when we got home, Daniel and I wrote down all the words she says. The list was 75 words long. There's no telling how many she knows now.
14. She is extremely determined and will stay focused on something until she has it figured out.
15. She would brush her teeth 389,238,632 times a day if I let her.
16. She says and signs "more" for everything from more food to more tickles.
17. She says "prayers!" and folds her hands before eating and ends it with "En!" for "Amen".

Happy Seventeenth Month, Aubrey! You are the most humongous (word of the day from a Sesame Street episode) blessing and burden I've ever known!
