Another Pleasant Valley Sunday

The babe is in bed as I type this entry, and honestly I feel like crawling under the covers as well!

We've been going non-stop today it seems. When your child starts crawling, life doesn't slow down!

We went to visit Daniel today at the hospital:
Someone got sad that it was time to say "good-bye"...
Once we got back home, Aubrey was all over place. Lately her favorite thing to explore: her rocking chair...

Since it was so incredibly nice outside today, Aubrey and I took a lovely stroll around the complex. I thought the fresh air, scenery, and blabbing the whole time would have worn her out. Well, when I took her out of the stroller, her little legs were going a mile a minute. I put her in the Johnny Jump Up, and away that girl went! For thirty straight minutes. Seriously, she never stopped. I had to grab her -- mid air -- and pull her out to eat. She would probably STILL be jumping at this very moment had I not. She would rocket upward and land making her raspberry noises and squeals of delight. It was a half-hour cram-packed with the most wonderful entertainment! Can you tell she had fun?
*We (okay, I) move the rug over for our little jumping bean in case there is a carpet staple or something sharp where the kitchen/living room separates...it's a weird "mom" thing I do. Oh, and can you see the sporadic boxes hiding in some of the pictures? I'm trying to pack at least one box a day in hopes that I won't be overwhelmed with an "Oh my gosh, we're moving in a week and nothing is packed!" moment in June.

"Love"ly Weekend

This weekend Daniel and I were completely spoiled having his mom here (we call her "Zubie"). She practically forced us to go see a movie Friday night (it didn't take much persuading for Daniel), and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing Slumdog Millionaire. If you haven't seen it, and it's still playing in your area, GO!

And by the way...since when does it cost $10 a person at the movies!? Daniel even asked the guy who tears your ticket at the door if $10 was right; he was sure we had been over charged. Nope, $10 per person. Gee whiz...

Zubie also stayed with Aubrey Saturday night so Daniel and I could enjoy a Valentine's Day date. It was WONDERFUL! Getting all gussied up and enjoying a quiet, fine cuisine meal under the glow of dimly lit lights is such a rarity these days. I'm telling you...having family around is incredibly nice.

Aubrey got a Johnny Jump Up this weekend (Target didn't have the "Jenny" Jump Up, so she got the boy version -- shhhh, don't tell her!). She's not so sure about the whole "jumping" business, but she has fun spinning around and watching all of us give her inspirational "jumps" for motivation.

Zubie arrived with some new friends for Aubrey. Please allow me to introduce them (from left to right):
Benjamin Bunny, Peggy the Piggy, Simon Cow (Daniel came up with this one...it's supposed to be a reference to Simon Cowell from American Idol. I laugh every time I say his name to Aubrey.), Freddy the Frog, and Chicken Little.

Aubrey LOVES them. Even when you put them on your fingers, she will look at each one individually. It's so sweet. Notice her honing in on Peggy the Piggy. They do have the most in common. ;)

Overall, I'd say this was one of the best Valentine weekends of all time!
