Friday Funsies

When my parents visited us last weekend, they brought along our wedding photos.

I am ashamed to admit that Daniel and I will celebrate 7 years of marriage this August, and we STILL have not ordered our wedding album (gasp!).

It's not that we didn't like the pictures, it's just that life hasn't slowed down since we said "I do!".

So last Saturday night, I plopped down on the couch and had fun reminiscing the -- hands down -- best day of my life.

I flipped through at least a gazillion pictures. Some made me smile, some made me cry, and this picture...made me laugh. Really hard.

Yep, that pretty much sums up what it's like being married to Daniel. :)

Hope this weekend blows your socks off (or veil, in my case).

What a difference a year makes...

I love to journal. I have kept a journal for, well...as long as I can remember. Of course, I used to refer to this history keepsake as my "diary" and always deeply wanted one with a lock on it because, as a third grader, I had some pretty private matters and some super juicy secrets, right!? Well, I found my journal from last year, and looked at what my life was like on this day from good old 2008.

Here was my entry on January 8th:

Daniel and I got in from Miami last night. We had a REALLY great time. Daniel's interview (for residency) went very well. On Sunday we headed to the beach and walked to where we got married. It's actually not a Wyndham anymore, but Miami Beach Resort & Spa. We walked from 1414 Collins all the way down to 4900 Collins. So, 2.7 miles each way. It was a blast and hard to imagine that it's been almost 4 and a half years since we said, "I do."

Little did we know, it would be even harder to imagine that at that very moment, I was pregnant and didn't know it.

I found some pictures from our trip and couldn't help but notice how carefree we looked. Boy, has that changed! Ha!

*It's interesting to note that the shirt Daniel is wearing is the same one he had on during Aubrey's delivery. Now that's just weird if you ask me!

Now fast forward to present day, and...
